These tours are designed for nature lovers and birdwatchers. There are many kinds of birds that you can watch in Vietnam. We give some examples:
1/ In the North of Vietnam:
The Fansipan Mt & surrounding in Sapa (300km Northwest of Hanoi) with the birds of Scaly Laughingthrush, Black-faced Laughingthrush, Red-winged Laughingthrush, Long-tailed Wren Babbler, Long-billed Wren Babbler, Scaly-breasted Wren Babbler and Slender-billed Scimitar Babbler. Some birds are not easy to see in other places in Vietnam such as Broad-billed Warbler, Golden-breasted Fulvetta, Rusty-capped Fulvetta, Red-billed Leiothrix, Golden Parrotbill, Ashy-throated Parrotbill, White-collared Yuhina and Green-tailed Sunbird.
Tam Dao highland (80km North of Hanoi) has the birds of Blue-naped Pitta, Indochinese Green Magpie, Green Cochoa, Purple Cochoa, Fujian Niltava, Chestnut Bulbul, Grey Laughingthrush, Red-tailed Laughingthrush, Coral-billed Scimitar-babbler, Red-billed Scimitar Babbler, Black-chinned Yuhina, Greater Rufous-headed Parrotbill, and Short-tailed Parrotbill.
Cuc Phuong national park, 25,000sqkm (120km South of Hanoi) with Chestnut-necklaced Partridge, Silver Pheasant, Grey Peacock Pheasant, Red-collared Woodpecker, Red-vented Barbet, Brown Hornbill, Spot-bellied Eagle Owl, Pied Falconet,Malayan Night Heron, Bar-bellied Pitta, Eared Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Rachet-tailed Treepie, White-winged Magpie, White-tailed Flycatcher, Spotted Forktail, Limestone Wren Babbler, Rufous-throated Fulvetta and Black-browed Fulvetta.
Ninh Binh - Red river delta (130km Southeast of Hanoi): is a very good place for Shorebird and some imgration species such as Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Black-faced Spoonbill, Great Knot, Saunder's Gull and others.
2/ In the West highland center of Vietnam: Bach Ma national park (60km Southwest of Hue), KonTum, Pleiku... with Annam Partridge which is endemic to Vietnam. More birds such as Crested Argus, Imperial Pheasant, Blyth's Kingfisher, Chestnut-winged Cuckoo, Coral-billed Ground Cuckoo, Hodgson's Frogmouth, White-winged Magpie, Red-tailed Laughingthrush, Grey-faced Tit Babbler, Black-crowned Barwing and Golden-winged Laughingthrush which are another 2 endemic species of this part of the country
3/ In the South and central bottom of Vietnam:
Nam Cat Tien national park, 72,000sqkm (150km Northeast of Saigon) and Dalat (300km Northeast of Saigon): This part is the most important of birdwatching tour in Vietnam. It has more endemic species than other parts of Vietnam. These are special birds in here: Orange-necked Partridge (Endemic) Siamese Fireback, Germai's Peacock Pheasant (near Endemic), Green peafowl, Pale-headed Woodpecker, Black Baza, White-shouldered Ibis, Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Black-hooded Laughingthrush (near Endemic), White-cheeked Laughingthrush, Collared Laughingthrush(Endemic), Orange-breasted Laughingthrush(Endemic), Short-tailed Scimitar Babbler (near Endemic), Grey-faced Tit Babbler (near Endemic), Cutai, Mountain Fulvetta, Grey-crowned Crocias(Endemic), Black-headed Sibia, Brown Prinia, Yellow-billed Nuthatch (near Endemic) and Vietnamese Greenfinch(Endemic).
We suggest the following itinerary. According to your time permission and health state, you can add or reduce more days ; you can re-arrange the itinerary or cut off any areas that you're not interested in.

ARRIVE IN HANOI (D). Arrive at Noi Bai airport. Our staff will meet you at airport and transfer directly to Tam Dao highland area. Birdwatching on the tower trail. O/N in Tam Dao.
Day 2
Day 2:TAM DAO (B,L,D) Full day birdwatching and O/N in Tam Dao.

Day 4
TAM DAO - HANOI - SAPA (B,L,D) Drive back to Hanoi for relax or city tour if you like. Then take a night train to Sapa. O/N on the train. Note: you can have another option to travel to Sapa by bus or by car. In this case, you will spend a full day for driving but landscapes on the way is good for your view. O/N in Sapa.
Day 5
SAPA (B,L,D) Arrive in Lao Cai (if you go by a night train). Transfer to hotel then birdwatching at O Quy Ho & Tram Ton pass (2000m sea level). O/N in Sapa.
Day 6
SAPA - FANSIPAN (B,L,D) Hike to Fansipan (3143m sea level). First night in camp at 2050m sea level. O/N in camp.
Day 7
FANSIPAN (B,L,D) Hike from the base camp to 2700m. O/N in camp.
Day 8
FANSIPAN (B,L,D) Transfer to the airport for departure.
Day 9
FANSIPAN - HANOI (B,L,D) Return from base camp to Sapa and take a night train back to Hanoi. O/N on the train.
Day 10
ARRIVAL IN HANOI (B,L,D) Picked up at the railo station and drive down to Cuc Phuong N.P. Afternoon birdwatching in Cuc Phuong N.P. O/N in the park.
Day 11
CUC PHUONG N.P (B,L,D) Full day birdwatching in Cuc Phuong N.P. O/N in the park.
Day 12
CUC PHUONG N.P (B,L,D) Full day birdwatching in Cuc Phuong N.P. O/N at Bong substation.
Day 13
CUC PHUONG - HANOI - SAIGON (B,L,D) Early morning birdwatching. Early afternoon drive back to Hanoi for late afternoon or evening flight to Saigon. O/N in Saigon.
Day 14
SAIGON - NAM CAT TIEN N.P (B,L,D) Morning drive to Nam cat Tien N.P. Birdwatching and O/N in the park.
Day 15
NAM CAT TIEN (B,L,D) Morning drive to Crocodile lake for birdwatching. O/N in the park.
Day 16
NAM CAT TIEN N.P (B,L,D) Drive to Duk Lua substation to bird. O/N in the park.
Day 17
NAM CAT TIEN N.P - BAO LOC (B,L,D) Morning birdwatching in Nam Cat Tien N.P. Afternoon drive to Bao Loc. O/N in Bao Loc.
Day 18
BAO LOC - DALAT (B,L,D) Morning birdwatching in Di Linh near Bao loc. Late afternoon drive to Dalat. O/N in Dalat.
Day 19
DALAT (B,L,D) Morning drive to Tanung valley for birdwatching. Afternoon drive back to Dalat for O/N in Dalat.
Day 20
DALAT (B,L,D) Morning drive to Lang Biang Mt for birdwatching. Afternoon drive back to Dalat for O/N in Dalat.
Day 21
DALAT (B,L,D) Morning drive to Tuyen Lam lake, take a boat to the other side for birdwatching near the Elephant Mt area. Afternoon drive back to Dalat for O/N in Dalat.
Day 22
DALAT - SAIGON - DEPARTURE (B, L) Drive back to Saigon for late afternoon or evening departure. In case your flight before 3:00pm, then you need to spend one more night in Saigon.
